I had the exact same problem except I couldn’t solve the issue. I couldn’t replace the default shell32.dll or explorerframe.dll. Explorer.exe kept crashing and my command prompts refuses to allow me to replace any of the mentioned files. The only solution was to perform a system restore.

I’ve tried different explorerframe.dll and the same problem persisted. The program definitely has a big flaw.

I’m using a dell studio 1737 laptop with Windows 7 Prof 32-bit OS.

my explorer Not Work, my windows starts without explorer.exe
i call explorer use taskmanager, but there’s no exp in windows folder.
i had just look a explorer_wti_backup.exe
i rename these file to explorer.exe and run but it can’t work, windows says Explorer.exe error number 0xc0000014
