I can't seem to get this to work. I am fairly expierenced in working with the registry, and I am using a windows 7 64-bit system. I have found that things that work in a 32-bit registry can screw up in a 64-bit registry.

I followed all the steps, and when I right-click on my desktop, I can see the “Restart Explorer” context menu item. Just when I click on it, I get an error message with no text in it. Can you please help?

the command is actually TASKKILL, not TSKILL.. at least in Windows 7 :B

TASKKILL and TSKILL are both different commands. Try both of them.

TSKILL is not available in Win7 HOME, only more grown-up editions. If you’re on the junior editions, use TASKILL /IM Explorer.exe /F
