Hello, I haven't tried yet, but if it works then good job! :)

Since I tried to find how to remove this damn button since months, I'm interested by how you did that, can you please share your source code, or something that could help me?

    Please try the program.

It works, but there is an unused space where was the button. Could you possibly add an option to remove that space, or better, a rule so we can move the tray zone to the right, as much pixels as we wish ?

Also I noticed the button still show for few seconds after the desktop is loaded, so I'm wondering, what does your program exactly do? Does it patch a dll everytime the system is restarted, or whatever?

The space will be removed in the next version. The program removes the show desktop button every time the system is restarted.

What did you find happy? Does it inject code in the kernel memory space?

How does this work? Does Windows 7 Show Desktop Button Remover have to run as a process in the background?

Once you run the tool and click on Remove, it will remove the show desktop button and add itself to the startup. Now if you even close the tool, the show desktop button will not be there. After you restart your computer, the tool will run silently, remove the show desktop button & close itself.

This is awesome, I see that you said in the next version of this the space will be removed and since that space is just a little annoying, when will the next version be released?

  • Justin

Ohh and another thing I noticed is that you don't even have to keep the program afterwards which is a plus as it also saves some precious hard drive space! Still awesome program, I love it!

Okay, I will release it in this week itself.

  • Justin

    Okay awesome thanks!

How exactly do you get rid of this? I was using it for a little bit but now I'm finished and I can't figure out what to do.
