How To Add Turn Aero Off Shortcut In Windows 7/Vista Desktop Context Menu

Turn Aero Off

Steps:

  1. Type REGEDIT in start menu search box or run and press Enter.
  2. Run Registry Editor

  3. Navigate to the following registry key:
  4. HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shell

  5. Right-Click on shell and select New -> Key. Name it Turn Aero Off.



  6. Right-Click on Turn Aero Off and select New -> Key. Name it Command.

  7. In the right-side pane, double-click on (Default).
  8. In the Value Data box, type NET STOP UXSMS.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Now you will get the option in your desktop context menu.
