How To Change The Default Icon Of Any File Type

Default Programs Editor is a free portable tool that allows you to change the default icon of any file type in Windows 7, Vista & XP. This feature was built-in in Windows XP but was removed in Windows Vista & 7.

How to use:

  1. Run the tool.
  2. Click File Type Settings.
  3. Click Icon.

  4. HostGator (Use coupon - door2windows)

  5. Select the file type of which you want to change the icon and click Next.
  6. Click Browse.
  7. Select the icon that you want to display for the file type and click OK.
  8. Click Save Icon.

  9. Now the default icon of the file type you selected will be changed.
