1. Type REGEDIT in start menu search box or run and press Enter.

  2. Navigate to the following registry key:

  3. Right-Click on the right-side pane and select New -> DWORD (32-bit) Value.

  4. Type ButtonSet as the DWORD's value name.

  5. Double-Click on the DWORD value called ButtonSet.

  6. In the Value Data box, type according to the style you want:

    • 0 – Light text shadows & dark buttons (Default)
    • 1 – Dark text shadows & light buttons
    • 2 – No text shadows & opaque buttons
    • Click OK. Now log-off or switch user to see the new button & text style.
