DeskView is a free portable tool that allows you to view desktop items in list view. Windows only allows you to view it in Icons view.
How to use:
Just run the tool and the desktop items will be displayed in List view:
To view it again in Icons view, run the tool again:
If you always want your desktop items to be in list view, add the tool to the Windows startup.
